Get to Know Dr. Cardoso
While Dr. Cardoso was attending dental school, he realized the limitations of the field. “I learned the full scope really is the face,” he says of his decision to pursue additional training in facial cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Cardoso received his DDS and MD from New York University before receiving a Certificate in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from the Bellevue Hospital Center and New York University Langone Medical Center in 2018. Additionally, Dr. Cardoso completed a Full Body Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery at the Mandell-Brown Plastic Surgery Center in 2020.
“Now, my plastic surgery and oral surgery disciplines inform each other,” says Dr. Cardoso. He explains that oral surgery lays a healthy foundation for patients at our Red Bank practice, while the cosmetic aspect of his care provides an enhancement or refinement. The end result is harmonious: a healthy, beautiful smile and facial appearance.
